We appriciated the way the staff was working to make things good for us aas guests. They operated quick and alert and were very friendly. The room was good and the equipment was allright. The hotel has a very nice botanic desert garden which makes the inner space by the pool very nich to be.
The neighboorhood of the hotel is waiting for an upgrade. Although we never felt uncomfortable, it is obvious that there iswork to be done for the communitycouncil.
Excellent and warm welcome: we arrived late night, looking for dinner too, and while leading us to the room the lady sent a dish of fresh fruit, melon and strawberrys, and it was quite refreshing and corroborating! Then she told us a place where we could have dinner at midnight. The hotel is undergoing restoration but everything is clean and tidy.
David does a good job of welcoming you to the motel. While it may lack some of the features of the more expensive competition, it is a good place to stay, and at a reasonable price.
Nice and cozy motel, free drink and snack with arrival
The family who owns this hotel takes great care to give customers a top experience. The room was comfortable and we felt at home on the road. Excellent value!
The owners were very accommodating by letting us in the room before check- in time after a tiring 10 hour drive. The Australian Garden was very informational and relaxing.
The staff was exellent, facilities was good. Safe.
Had character & not one of the 'plastic' hotels
It was quiet. The owners were very nice and helpful. The room was large. The price was very cheap.
It was undergoing major renovations/updates.The lobby was in shambles, but It seems the owners may be trying to do too many tasks at one time which leaves many incomplete and unsightly projects. It must be a huge undertaking to try to make improvements in an old motel in an unpopular part of town. I prefer white linens to the multicolored sheets-it reminded me of my stays at my aunt's house. White towels would be better than blue.
Manager was extremely friendly. A complimentary plate of fruit was brought to our room.
To say this hotel is an on going project is a slight understatement, breakfast is served in the reception which is not that conducive to eating breakfast. The morning we left we were greeted in reception by 3 detectives and 6 uniformed officers, no one explained their prescence and when I asked to speak to the manager I was told he was unavailable. I am sure this hotel will be fine once redecorated and all the work completed.
You can't help but love this hotel! The owners are friendly and incredibly helpful; I have never received such personal, kind service at any hotel, regardless of price. I was absolutely floored at the value. My sister and I were traveling alone on a long road trip, and we felt absolutely safe; without even asking, David (the owner) took out a map of the town and gave directions to several great, safe places for two ladies to dine and walk around (his recommendations were fantastic, by the way!). The room was larger than most, very clean, and very comfortable, and felt more like home than your average, sterile hotel room, and the courtyard was beautiful and inviting; we wanted to stay and spend the day hanging out there instead of continuing our drive the next day! I can't say enough about abv Las Cruces!
Fantastic place to stay. Very helpful staff! Far in excess of a typical budget hotel.
Nothing - we had a great stay.
Outstanding friendly owners, who make it really pleasant to stay. They give a bit of the feeling to come to your family. Around the pool are all kinds of cactuses arranged like a garden show.
Family ran business, Doing everything to please. Even came by the room offing a snack of chips and salsa in the evening.
good services very polite , ready ant hapy to help in avriting you wish,i did engoied staing in this hotel and plan to use it again wen i by there more time .
